We Interrupt This Blog For….

Halloween.

The following are an example of the creativity of the residents of Georgetown who chose to celebrate Halloween by decorating their homes in various degrees of spooky splendor, guaranteed to draw gawkers and photographers, as well as delighting trick-or-treaters bold enough to approach.

Might as well get this out of the way up front; this dog, we were told by the owner, has lost weight, so his “costume lists to one side, but he was cute so …..

I cannot explain why some people go to such lengths as you will see below, but, frankly, I don’t care. It’s a relief to see it and we thank those who do it for sharing their time, money and inspiration with the rest of us. Some of the displays are highly metaphorical but I leave interpretation to others. Enough with the words. Next the photos.
